Designer Anežka Juhová is a graduate of the K.O.V. Studio led by Eva Eisler at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM). Her diploma project Landscape in Motion was selected in 2021 for the prestigious The Marzee International Graduate Show (Galerie Marzee, Netherlands).
For her collection Taro, she was nominated in 2023 for the Czech Grand Design 2022 awards in the category Jewelry Designer of the Year, where she reached the final top three. One of her brooches is also part of the collection of Slovak president Zuzana Čaputová, who received it as a gift from her Czech counterpart Petr Pavel.
In her new studio in Letná, she creates jewelry and objects for her own collections, collaborates with fashion designers, and also produces custom pieces for clients.
Anežka approaches jewelry and its meaning from a broader perspective. She does not see jewelry merely as decoration, but as an extension of who we are or what we believe in, whom we stand by, or simply that we already belong to someone.
The designer works with the traditional craft technique of lost-wax casting. In her work we encounter precious metals such as gold and silver, complemented by pearls and gemstones, including amethysts, emeralds, sapphires, and citrines.
