The designer Anežka Juhová is a graduate of the K.O.V. studio under the leadership of Eva Eisler at Prague's UMPRUM. In 2021, her diploma thesis Landscape in Motion was selected for the prestigious competition The Marzee International Graduate Show (Galerie Marzee, Holland). Last year, she was nominated for the Czech Grand Design 2022 - Jewelery Designer of the Year for her Taro collection, where she made it to the final three. Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová also has her brooch in her collection, who received it as a gift from her Czech counterpart, Petr Pavel. In her new studio on Letná, she creates jewelry and objects for her collections, in collaboration with clothing designers, but also to order for clients. Anežka looks at jewelry and its meaning from a broader perspective. He sees jewelry not only as an ornament, but as an extension of who we are, what we profess, who we stand for, or simply that we already belong to someone. The author works with an old craft technique – the method of casting in lost wax. In her work, we encounter the use of precious metals such as gold and silver, which are then supplemented with pearls and precious stones, such as amethysts, emeralds, sapphires or citrines.
