Maya's new collection captures specific moments from the author's travels in Mexico. The collection is personal. For the author, the Mexican journey was the moment when she found herself the farthest from home in her life. Processing the material meant processing her own experiences from the journey, the search for a specific shape of the jewelry was a search for what individual moments from the travels meant for her. The very process of creation was essential for her, which made it possible to relive individual memories. Jewelry is an interpretation, it leads us to perceive wildness, color and the journey into the unknown. They contain both a certain rebellion and disillusionment with the new, as well as the need to keep a strong sense of home - that is, something that is familiar and important to us. The dynamic of adventure and the joy of discovering the new, along with nostalgia for what we know well, was the shaping force of this collection. On this basis, the jewelery alternates calmness and wildness as in the jungle, wrinkle and smoothness as in the sea, rawness and mysticism as in the cultural heritage there, overwhelm and relaxation as in our mind. The collection includes wedding and engagement rings that carry the message of a fixed point through which we can experience new adventures.
